Delete your dodi account

This page explains how to delete your account for dodi, the learning app for families by Alexander Birke, and the data that goes with it. It applies to the web app at https://app.dodi.app and to the dodi apps for Android and iOS.

Delete your account in the app

1. Open dodi and go to the parent area. If a parent PIN is set, enter it.
2. Open Settings (the gear icon at the top of the menu) and stay on General.
3. Scroll down to Delete account and tap Delete account.
4. Enter your password and tap Delete permanently.

Your account is deleted right away and every device is signed out. The steps are the same in the web app and in the Android and iOS apps.

Ask us to delete your account

If you cannot sign in any more, write from the email address of your account to team@dodi.app with the subject "Delete my dodi account". To make sure the request comes from you, we may send a code to that address and ask you to confirm it. We delete the account within one month at the latest and confirm it by email.

What is deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes from our servers:

• your account, sign-in data and every session,
• every kid profile with its memory, conversation transcripts, companions, tricks, play records and activities,
• your games, their version history, saved game moments (snapshots) and your Game Studio conversations,
• your settings, your encrypted AI keys, AI usage records, error reports and the feedback you sent us,
• friendships with other families, and snapshots your kids sent to friends.

Games you published on Discover are taken off Discover and deleted. Copies that other families made of a published game before (remix) belong to those families and stay with them. On your devices, the app removes your sign-in, offline copies and other local data after the deletion.

What is kept, and for how long

• Backups: deleted data can remain in our backups for up to 6 months, after which the backups are overwritten. We do not restore it from there.
• AI providers: what your devices sent to an AI provider with your own key is handled by that provider under its own policy. Delete it there if needed.

Delete some data without deleting your account

You can also delete individual data in the app at any time: a kid profile (and everything that belongs to it) under Kids, single games and snapshots, your AI keys under Settings, AI providers, and a published game by taking it off Discover.
